The number of people that have lost their lives on OPP patrolled highways has more than doubled this year over the same period last year, according to statistics. Since January 1, seventeen people have tragically lost their lives in vehicle crashes. The OPP notes that the first weeks of January have been treacherous on Ontario roads but it is too early to predict how road safety will fare throughout the rest of the year. In North London, the driving was a challenge too, as seen above on Wonderland Road North. (photo: Terri Low)
